What Food Causes Pimples or Acne?

A pimple, Spot, Zit or acne is a clogged hair follicle in the skin. Acne the most used synonyms of pimple comes from the Greek word “Acme” which signifies the word “the highest point” “point” “spot”.

Basically, skin cells, sebum, and hair can clamp together into a plug. The plug infected with microorganism like bacteria, fungus and resulting in a swelling.

When the plug begins to separate or break down, a pimple starts to make. It’s a small pustule or papule. They make little skin sores or irritation of the skin. Pimple has a tendency to show up on the face, neck, back, chest and shoulders. Usually, the people of 11-30 years are affected with pimples.

Types of Pimple

Though pimple is not a serious problem, but sometimes it causes a serious problem. All sorts of pimple are not silly. There are different types of pimple such as-

Blackheads: Blackheads are clearly visible on the surface of the face. They are dark and look like dirt.

Whiteheads: Whiteheads are small and remain under the skin.

Papule: They are generally pink and small bumps. Papules are visible on the surface of the skin.

Pustule: Pustules are unmistakably visible on the surface of the skin. They have pain and discharge at the top. Usually looks red.

Nodule: It is one of the harmful pimples. They are clearly visible on the surface of the skin and large, strong pimples. They are implanted somewhere down on the skin and so painful.

Cyst: The most harmful pimple is cyst. They easily leave scars to the skin. Clearly seen able on the surface of the skin, painful and filled with pus.

What causes pimple?

The well-known face irritation pimple happens in many ways. Nobody figure causes pimple accurately. It happens when oil organs (sebaceous) are activated at pubescence, empowered by male hormones from the adrenal glands in both girls and men.

Oil is a natural substance which greases up and protects our skin from dryness. But in different situations, many skin cells block the openings of sebaceous glands which are close to the surface of our skin.

They cause a development of oil underneath. This increasing oil impulse the bacteria which lives in our skin naturally.

Usually, they cause no problems. But when they come to the attachments of oil, they cause inflammation of skin to a growth pimple. The other causes of pimple are- dirt, junk food, oily food, hormones, cosmetics, blood pressure, Drugs etc.

What Food Causes Pimples or Acne

Experts of skin disease studied a lot to mark out the foods which are caused pimple badly. Here is a list of some food culprits which causes pimples. Avoid them for a month and notice the changes of your face.

Fast food:

Fast food is one of the main enemies of our skin. The greasy foods create inflammation in the body. Studies have already marked fast food as a cause of many diseases like child asthma, acidity, overweighting etc.

It has a high ability to increase inflammation which leads to pimples. So, if you are a fast food lover, please avoid the food to recover your face from pimples.

Junk food:

If you are trying to clear up your face from pimples, junk foods in the list to leave. It causes hormonal fluctuations, blood sugar levels that increase inflammations. Inflammations lead to pimple.

Sugar:

Experts suspected that sugar might be a connection with breakout. You may have effectively noticed that sugar is linked with pimples. It doesn’t mean that if you eat a cookie, you are going to get a pimple on your face.

It means the level of sugar that you take at any one time or how much sugar you are eating in a day. If you consume a soda or eat a candy bar, you are likely spiking your glucose levels and you could pimples hours later.

So, if you notice that sugar has any bad effect to your pimples, please leave it.

Chocolate:

Studies says that chocolate is another food that causes pimples. The high fat and high sugar containing food can increase sebum production and promote inflammatory responses in the body that can improve pimple or acne.

Not only chocolate but also all foods which contain high-fat and high sugar elements on it, they are harmful to the skin. So, if you are a chocolate lover, please lessen the habit to lessen your pimple problem.

Spicy foods:

Spicy foods are blamed for pimple problem by skin experts. Especially the foods which are made by red chili and other hot spices are effective to lead pimples.

But it’s not confirmed that spicy foods have any direct link to pimple problem. It needs more study to prove that spicy foods are harmful to the skin.

Spicy foods increase acidity and indigestion, which can spike the blood pressure and loose appetite. These problems may effect on skin pimples.

High-glycemic foods:

High glycemic foods are these foods that spread out in the body quickly. They are rising blood sugar and triggering an insulin spike.

They cause hormonal fluctuations and inflammations which lead to pimple. The food we are talking about white bread, white rice, cookies, cakes, potato chips. These types of food trigger causing pimple.

Milk (Cow’s):

Milk might have an association with pimples. The 2010 study found a link between cow’s milk and breakouts. Experts aren’t sure yet why this might be, but the marked several speculations.

Cow’s milk spikes blood sugars, increase insulin levels which can increase inflammations and the production of skin oils. The commercial kinds of milk which come from pregnant cows contain many other hormones that can trigger the sebum production.

Pimple or acne is a severe problem of youths. It leaves scars badly. So pimple affected people become anxious about it. .
